Good cake, but eggshells
I received this cake as a gift. It is nice and moist, easy to eat... But to my surprise, two large eggshells were visible upon opening. I picked them out but unfortunately still bit into another one while eating. From Lynn, we are sorry for the eggshells in the cake. We are very careful as we crack fresh eggs into the batter, but will change the process so this cannot happen again.

This was a moist and tasty cake with a lovely presentation but it is not a rum cake. There is absolutely no rum flavor to it at all, which, considering the name, was quite a disappointment!
