How big are the cakes?
Each cake is 32 oz. Serving size is approximately 12-18 slices (depending how you slice it!).
How soon after I order should I expect my cakes?
We ship cakes Monday-Thursday. Orders placed Friday-Sunday will ship the following Monday.
How and when are the cakes shipped?
Each cake is vacuum sealed, beautifully boxed then sealed once again. It is shipped via USPS, and is marked FRAGILE. Depending on the location, your cake should arrive 1-3 days after it has been shipped.
We make every effort to ensure each cake is fully prepared for shipping and handling, however we unfortunately cannot control the handling method of some individual carriers. If you cake should arrive damaged, please contact us immediately. We take great pride in our packaging and presentation. It is our goal to ensure that your cake(s) arrive as beautifully as they left.
Can the cakes be shipped to a P.O. Box?
Yes, if you choose to ship via USPS.
Do you ship internationally?
As of right now, no. However, we are continuing to work on the best options for shipping out of the country.
Other than the main ingredients, are there any additional preservatives in the cakes?
There are no added preservatives; real rum being the natural preservative.
Would you like to include a personal gift message?
Yes, we can include a personal message at no additional cost and will often use a birthday, anniversary, thank you, etc. cards that we keep in stock at no additional charge.
What if I am not 100% satisfied with the cake?
While we do not offer refunds, we do stand by our cakes and will gladly investigate any issues. Please call us, or email us at sales@abumsrumcake.com. Quality assurance is of the utmost importance to us.
What is the shelf life of your cakes?
Cakes remaining packaged and sealed will remain fresh for one month at room temperature. Once seals are broken, we suggest refrigeration or freezing (for extended freshness and moisture) or a cake dome over a well wrapped cake if being kept at room temperature (fresh for up to two weeks...if not eaten first!).
Do your rum cakes contain alcohol?
Yes. All of our cakes are made with a delicious and sweet specialty rum.
Are your cakes appropriate for children?
While a great percentage of the alcohol is burned off during the baking and cooking process, some is still retained. We suggest determining what is best for your family.
